Developmental Program
1st-4th grade
Each player will participate in a maximum of four (4) one hour instructional classes at Tower Tee Driving Range on Heege Road. We anticipate a ratio of approximately 1 teaching pro per 10 players. Each player will receive introductory instruction to the game of golf and be taught the basics for club gripping, stance, swing, hitting tee shots, irons, chipping around the green, sand trap play and putting.
Instruction Dates
Instruction will be on Tuesday nights starting on March 27 and run through May 1 at Tower Tee.
Times will be from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Each player will participate in a maximum of 4 tournaments with other parishes in the south county district. Tournaments will be held at Tower Tee. Players will normally be paired with other players from SHF but could be paired with players from another parish depending on numbers. Each player plays his or her own ball and registers his or her own score. A maximum stroke score of 8 per player per hole will be utilized to speed up play.
Golf Tournament Dates
Tee times will be shot gun starts.
Boys and girls will play in separate gender foursomes
Tournament dates for all players are April 4, April 12, April 19 and April 26. All tournaments will be played at Tower Tee.
South County League and High School
5th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade
Each player will participate in a maximum of six (6) one and a half hour instructional classes at Tower Tee Driving Range on Heege Road. We anticipate a ratio of approximately 1 teaching pro per 10 players. Each player will receive direction on hitting tee shots, irons, chipping around the green, sand trap play and putting.

End of Season South County District Championship
South County District Championship is open to all players from 5th-8th grade. High School level participants do not have a championship tournament.
The South County District Championship playoff tournament is June 9, 2012 at Tower Tee.
City/County Championship
City/County Championship playoff tournament will be held June 23, 2012 at Tower Tee.
